WWII US ARMY M1 Helmet Liner- SAINT CLAIR:

Original WWII US ARMY Saint Clair low pressure M1 Helmet liner. Liner is in overall good condition. Exterior has received a re-paint at some point. Original corking is visible under the re-paint. One small crack to the edge as seen in photos. Some webbing damage of webbing at front A-washer. Unfortunately, the painted Saint Clair stamping has faded over time and is no longer visible. Liner lacks the Nape Strap, sweatband and chinstrap.
Saint Clair produced approx 1.3% of all liners produced during the early stages of the war. This liner was produced during 1943 according to the characteristics of the liner and is a Type 9 or Type 10 model. The low pressure liner was manufactured prior the more commonly produced high pressure liners.
Overall, nice early desirable liner that would pair nicely with your M1 Helmet Shell or would make a nice addition to your helmet collection.
