WWII US Army Lot of Letters from 1941-45 over 500 letters Guadalcanal:
$875.00

Huge lot of around 563 letters written from mostly a Warner Squires of Cromwell, Connecticut. The letters are from 1941 through 1945. He writes to his mother and father most of the time back in CT, but also writes to an Edmund Skillin in Freeport, Maine. I don't know if this was a friend of family member of his. The letters are in good condition and a previous owner filed a bunch of the letters chronologically in a wooden box. Warner was with the 528th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion as part of the 214th Field Artillery Regiment. From what I see, a bunch of the letters were sent from APO 709 which was Guadalcanal. The letters are in good shape and were kept from moisture. I have only gone through a couple of the envelopes and have found lots of post cards also sent home. Below is some information on Warner and his father Walter who he sent most of the letters to.

There will be no shipping outside of the US as my last lot of letters sent to Canada was a nightmare
