WWll original Fighter Pilot Letter From The Famous9th Fighter Squadron, 49th Fighter Group.

The four page letter is written by Captain James Haislip Jr. to his parents in Dallas Texas. The letter is dated, June 2, 1944 New Guinea.


Captain Haislip flew in combat with Richard Bong who was the ace of aces.


The letter comes with the original envelopecensored by 1st. Lt. Haislip.


I know that Lt Haislip has one victory that was shot down, I think at the time he was flying a P-38.

Also included is one (recently printed photo) ofCaptain Haislip and three printouts with planes and crew members.
