Komsomol Dembels

I would be grateful for a proper identification and any other information on this badge. I know....the reverse photo is a shocker. My apologies. Nevertheless, the airplane and parachute portion of the badge is pressed brass and the screw-backed Komsomol badge is solid. It appears to have been factory made. Thanks.

Thanks Paul. Yes, the airborne background is indeed interesting, as it is pressed, or stamped, brass and not some backyard job and I haven't been able to determine what other airborne insignia it was originally taken from, if at all. I can not see and edge cuts where it may have been separated from another badge.:confused:

I believe none. There is an excellent Russian book on Komsomol Badges by Butushin and Stetsurenko.
