For the time of combat activities of the brigade Comrade Novohatnij showed himself brave and valorous whilst performing combat tasks.
Whilst cut off in East Prussia from his combat unit with ammunition, Comrade Novohatnij took active participation in the withdrawal of a auto-machine with ammunition whilst under a raid of enemy artillery fire, the machine and ammunition were withdrawn without loss.
Comrade Novohatnij showed himself to be disciplined and unquestioning performing all the orders of the higher head.
For the time staying in the brigade from February 1944 he has not had a single rest and is well meriting the Governmental Award Medal "For Bravery".
