No I can't confirm it, but considering the display I thought it wasn't the real thing.
Oh and here is the ceiling of the Hall of Glory at the Victory museum in Moscow. It could make a nice avatar  EDIT: Last picture is from outside of the museum.

Soviet,
I believe that there are only 2 Orders of Victory on display in Russia. One at the Almazniy Fund in Moscow, the other one in the numismatic gallery of the Ermitage in St Petersburg (that is, when it is open ).Outside of Russia, you can see one in the War Museum in London (Montgomery's), and one in Abilene at the Presidential Library (Eisenhower's).
