Congrat's !!! It really looks like a nice piece!!! Out of the big awards (Suvorov, Kutuzov, BK) this one is nice and big! :D Nevsky was my first major Order purchase and I loved it... Then I bought Suvorov3 and it was so small... :( Anyhow... Enjoy! Rusty.

Here's disassembled Nevsky order.
Anyone has an idea why Nevsky order has stamped details underneath the attached red Star (wreath lines, shield, sword, etc)? William |

To make sure the mint worker will assembly it in the right way... ? :D One precursor of the famous Ikea DIY leaflet... :D
More seriously ;) , did you check in the "good" literature about this ? I have seen nothing myself... Ch. |

William,
I have seen this on T1 and T2 pieces, and was also puzzled by this. So far I couldn't find any answers. Alexei  |

meerhexer,
As best I can make it out (and transliterating from the cyrillic), it reads: Alekseev, V. M. Alekseev (12 o'clock position in relation to screwpost) V. (9 o'clock position in relation to screwpost) M. (3 o'clock position in relation to screwpost) The rest of the inscription (6 o'clock position) is largely illegible although it appears to include numbers. Hope this helps. Thank you, slava !
Always have difficulties with the not printed letters. The M on the 3 o´clock position is a new hint. I have looked at the order with this in mind again (with daylight now) and found beside the scewpost a small letter "e". There is paralell scratching beginning in this area going up to the name. The first strike of the M is very short and a bit rounded, could it be a "tsch" ? 9 o´clock B, 3 o´clock y, under screwpost 192 e I / VII ? Don´t know whether this makes sense. |

Meerhexer,
Your post did not belong in the Fakes section so I have moved it here. Looks like "194.. ../XII" December ... 194.. Alexei |
