Re: Again: what is this ?

It's a VSKV (KKShV) or VDNK (VDNKh) badge. Search in the badges section for a little info on it.
It's an older issue since it's serial numbered.
Off the top of my head it's 2nd grade; their being gold, silver and bronze grades. (also large & small?)
I'm no expert on authenticity but your doesn't look bad, initially.
As for worth; it's awfully subjective these days. Could be 20, could be 200.

Re: Again: what is this ?

It is a medal for the WDNCh agriculture exhibition in Moscow on the WDNCh area.
There are large and small gold and silver medals. The are award medals. And there are small brass medals. I think they are for the participation.

best regards
Andreas

Re: Again: what is this ?

Looks OK to me. I have several similar ones in my collection.

I would be guessing in the US$50-100 range. Some VSKhV medals have been going for quite high prices recently so it is hard to judge.

Re: Again: what is this ?

Re: Again: what is this ?

Phillip,

I think I read somewhere on the forum that the numbered medals are from the 1954 exhibition. The earlier versions from 1939 and 1940 were dated on the front as well as having a serial number.

Re: Again: what is this ?

Thank you Simon. I should have worded my question better. I meant does anyone know when the mints changed from these screwnuts to the MMD and LMD specific types? This could easily be a screwnut from old stock used in 1954 - no arguments there.

Re: BCXB & BDHX medals

Recieved today, after a long time searching, a large, silver BCXB medal.
This is one of the, as I said, larger, 32mm medals. Awarded in 1955. It is without date or serial number but with the 'X' on the grill of the tractor on both the obverse and reverse and so makes it, I believe, a stricktly 1955 award.
Pictured in image three with his brother from a different mother, a CSM, for comparison. Note differences in suspensions.
about $45-65 for comparison. July, 2012

Re: BCXB 1955 silver medal document

To comrade Бебреше Станислав Якобвич - Bebresh, Stanislav Yakobvich.
Sadly torn asunder although that bothers me little.
Dated 1956 for what I'm pretty sure is a 1955 (only) medal.

Re: BCXB & BDHX medals

Could anyone tell me what a reasonable price for a 1939 silver VSKhV medal would be?

Just the medal, no docs or box.

Re: BCXB & BDHX medals

Within the last 6 weeks I have seen the small one (without a suspension) sell for $59.
