Re: Forum Members' Awards And Decorations.
Here is a rather typically understated British group for multiple combined operations. I've had to wait years to find enough of the French ribbon to court mount. We're not big on commemoratives in Britain (or even acknowledging various operations and deployments).
Don't be mistaken, this group is worn on the right.

Re: Forum Members' Awards And Decorations.
Back in the family after many years adrift.
This pair is to a Norfolk Regiment veteran of the Somme. Transferred to the Hussars and finally the Royal Army Medical Corps where he was invalided out by contracting Tuberculosis, Pneumonia and the Spanish Flu in the line of duty. The ninth page of his service record refers to him by a female name - the second case of confused gender I've encountered this week. Frankie's Medals here will be on the right at select commemorative events.

Re: Forum Members' Awards And Decorations.
I want to say I was there 1998-1999. I left service in 99 so my time in the DMI was short
But memorable and impactful I taught in DFL 00-02 so we just missed each other. Last edited by desantnik; 10-05-2018 at 01:37 PM. |
