CSA Belt Buckle Confederate States Civil War Incredible Condition Ex Museum:

This buckle is in incredible never buried condition. Purchased from the caretaker of a deceased WWII vet who was an avid militaria collector. The info that was passed to her is that he purchased it from a museum sale in the 1980s which is the reason for the markings on the back in white which are unfortunately worn. To us this buckle appears to be Virginia style after much research but alas we are not experts. It measures 2.71” by 1.88” by 3.6mm thick measured with a digital caliper. It weighs 89 grams.
