I do not know if Tito's one is on display. I remember a discussion thread about Tito's order a few years back. The Almazniy Fund holds much more than what is on display. There is only one Order of Victory on display, although they (are supposed to ) hold all the original ones that were issued to Soviet citizens (with one small exception noted below). Quote:

Marc,
Excellent!!! Thanks for the precision. By chance, do you have any idea of : 1. who was the owner of the Order of Victory of the Hermitage ? 2. same question for "Soviet" ones ? Cheers. Ch. |

Christophe,
I am not sure anybody knows (well, someone must know for sure somewhere, but who?). The one in the Almazniy Fund is simply labeled "Order of Victory/Gold, platinum, diamonds, enamels". By the way, what do you mean by "2. same question for "Soviet" ones ?"? If it is a list of the receipients, that is fairly straightforward. If something else, please explain what you are after. Marc,
My mistake : I should have written ... for "Soviet" one (and not "ones"). I meant the one posted by "Soviet" (Bryan) in his first post... Ch. |

Tito's Order of the Victory
Here is what I learned from the book name : “With honor to Tito” (S POŠTOVANJEM TITU), edition from 1986.
This book contains a selection of the presents and order to Tito. It says that all of those things are kept in the Memorial Center “Josip Broz Tito” in Belgrade. I guess that is the museum that is being closed right now.

Here are a few more scans, first of the Pravda article announcing his award, then of the award ceremony.

Eisenhower's Order of Victory
Art has just updated his main site with some new images.
I want to highlight (and make sure you will see it...) one marvel : Eisenhower's Order of Victory. The pics posted are of outstanding quality. I remember Dave posted these recently, but I cannot find where again (but I saved a copy... ). Here is the text of Art published in homepage : This month it is an honor to have a few fantastic images of the extremely rare Order of Victory. The Dwight D. Eisenhower Library photograph the award just for us. You've seen the fake Orders of Victory sold everywhere, now see the real award which was presented to Supreme Allied Commander, Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1945." And the link to the page : http://www.soviet-awards.com/orders1.htm#order1 Art, Bravo, and thank you!!! ... and a special mention to Dave for succeeding in getting these rare pics!!! Cheers. Ch. |

Possible photo of the awarding?
Here is a photo I ran across on the site at "Allies" - the project of RIA Novosti international information agency
The caption reads "A70-10123. World War II (1939-1945). Marshal of the Soviet Union Georgy Zhukov, right, and General Dwight Eisenhower (USA). Germany, 1945." But there is definately an award in Zhukov's hand. From the photos from the Eisenhower collection, I guess it is safe to say no one has ever tried to polish that award!
