A bit of a change of plans...

OK, I have deceided to do it this way:
1.I will be posting the translated parts here (yes, for free) for comments.
2.After it's done, I will think of publishing it.

I didn't have much time at hand during weekend, but managed to do a bit. It was easier now, as I had it already translated once.

In the following posts I will ommit the cover and frontpage. Note that posting here results in loss of original format.

(1)Yes, I know there’s no such word in english, but since all: ”botinki”, “polubotinki” and “tufli” can only be translated as “shoes”, I will use: “shoes” – for “botinki”; “half-shoes” – for “polubotinki” and “light shoes” for “tufli”. To clarify: “botinki” are ancle-height shoes and “polubotinki” – the ones that end below ancle. (translator’s note)
(2)Russian term here was “zashchitnogo cveta”, but since there’s no good equivalent and since this “protective colour” can be called khaki (Russian: “khaki”), I have decided to use this name. (translator’s note)

work

Al-muell,

Very nice job, and thank you for sharing and really benefiting the cloth forum. Too many times we see members here use information as a sort of weapon, or to "hold" what they know or have for a future publication or such (which never seem to pop up!). To do the work you have and simply share it for the betterment of the community is great, thanks again!

awesome work!

my two cents however: i think you should publish it, possibly with the appropriate images placed so that it would be easy to reference. maybe not a book, but at least a website

that would help people like me who don't have the M58 regulation laying :-) :thumbsup

2 questions.

1.Maybe not yet important, but woult I be allowed to post just links to the pictures when they are ready? I mean it will cost a lot of space to upload them all to the forum.
2.Again this "Senior on the roads" - shall I change it to something like "harbourmaster"? I am no sailor, but I think it's not exactly the same as "Starshyi na Reyde". Yet, I can't find a proper translaion.
