"Police 60 Years" Badge.

A 60 Years of the Police badge variant. In Dr. Battushig's book, this badge is pictured with the red and blue reversed from what it is here. Bronze and paint/enamel.

Greg, you are right, of course (I got to look it up in my new copy:D). I wonder how that could have happened. It may have been either an earlier or later (even reissue) of the one in the Battushig book. I've only ever seen the other one before now.

As the paint work is hand done, I'm inclined to say that this was simply an arbitrary decision on the part of the worker. I wouldn't invest too much thought into it as it is only a commemorative badge. An Order, of course, would be an entirely different matter.:yow

I'd agree that there is little to worry about. You simply have a NIB (Not in Battushig) variety!

For some reason, police badges seem to have more variability than all other classes of Mongolian badges put together. For example, I have seven or eight varieties of the police auxiliary badge (Battushig shows two varieties F20 and F21).

For comparison, here is the Battushig F07 standard badge.
