Officer's Identification.
I was certain that there was a thread for officers' service IDs, but can't find it, so I put this one in a new thread.
This ID was issued in 1942 and is a bit more rare version (most had red covers). This one has the first page removed and a temporary ID glued in its place. The temporary ID identifies the owner, sr. lt. Sergei Borisovich Kazakov as a student in the Cemichal Defense Academy, while the rest of the document identifies him as deputy commander of the separate Chemical Company of the 113 Rifle Div. since january 1941 |

Re: Officer's ID
Born in 1918, living in Novocherkask in Rostov Oblast.
Issued a Nagant revolver - there's a note about the revolver being returned to the Chemical Company, but with no date - probably when he was sent to the academy? |

Re: Officer's ID
According to podvignaroda, Kazakov was awarded a CSM for his direct involvement in combat in late 1941 and early 1942 as well as keeping the company ready for chemical defence.
He also got his OPW2 in 1985. |
