US 1945 V-Mail letter (you can see the silver in it) --- letter is to Mrs. Stan Heriot, Oakland, California --- from ???, 34th Special Services Company, A.P.O. 350, c/o Postmaster, New York, N.Y. --- A.P.O. 350 indicates that at this time this writer is located in Le Mans, France --- letter is censored;

Letter is dated January 29, 1945 and begins, "Darling: Here it's Monday night, and very cold outside, but I'm in by a nice warm fire, all I need for a perfect evening is to have you close to me darling. Darling, it is at night that I miss you the most, when I'm sitting here in this nice warm room with nothing to do but think of you, my precious Dollie, to think how awfully lucky I am to have such a Darling wife and how much I love her and miss her and the little guy."
