Here is a partial, though still rather attractive group to Lieutenant-Colonel Of State Security Mihail Mihajlovich Beljaev. A purger before the war and a Partisan leader during. Later the Deputy Head Of The Department Of Cadre Rovno Oblast UNKGB and then Odessa Oblast UKGB.

One of the best things about this group is the fact that there are before and after pictures.

The whole group cost less than I have seen the pair of KGB Badges sell for (on this forum) which is probably the greatest signal of current prices and interest.

As the Red Star quite definitively confirms the "Partisan" connection, the NKGB connection could be seen as too good to be true - but it's not.

Medal "For Victory Over Germany In The Great Patriotic War 1941-1945" D#099979 awarded by the Deputy People's Commissar Of State Security Of The Ukrainian SSR on 17th September 1945.
