Surface ship officer badges

Hi everybody,

I recently bought these two surface ship officer badges. I would like your opinions on their authenticity. Both have enameled stars & gold and silver washes look good. So I feel good about them, what about ya'll?

Secondly, I have a few questions concerning the usage of these badges. If I understood right, the silver one was worn by commanders of surface ships and the golden one by officers commanding more than one ship? Same thing with submarine badges; silver one for sub commanders, gold for commanders of multiple subs? Accurate info on these questions would be much appreciated; I like to know details on all the things I manage to collect. :)

Any chance for images of the back side and screwplates? There are a lot of these on eBay and I do not know if they are surplus or fakes. I think this has been discussed here earlier.
