Dolf,
This is the first variation of this order. It was established on October 29, 1985 and was awarded to military and State security personnel mostly for personal bravery. It was also awarded to military units. In 1987 the design of the State crest was changed. Alexei |

Gentlemen,
Here is another one of these, I guess it's a different Type and/or Variation. I need to know the average current prices, please. Here is the reverse of the piece I posted above. As you see there is nothing that would help to identify this piece, no MM, no S/N... Is this normal? Please give me a hint of a reasonable price for this piece. Thanks a lot, Dolf |

My sample's reverse looks identical to yours, i.e. no mm, SN, similar post, etc. so that would make it "normal".

Desantnik,
I guess that as for those two Orders of Stars posted on another thread on this section, this Order of Gallantry is also from Type 2 (no open book), is that correct? Same production dates for this Order as for those Stars you mention on that other thread? Please confirm. Thanks, Dolf |

Afghanistan medals orders prices.
Good Evening,
Prices of communist Afghanistan medals and orders are some what over inflated since there is only one on-line dealer (that I'm aware of) that sells them. I do not think there is any market for these items....yet. In terms of quality, these medals/orders are no where near the level of the Soviet or Yugoslavia pieces. I will be very surprised if he actually sells any of the Afghan items at his PRICES!!! v/r Dat Nguyen |

The award looks good, if its cheap I may buy one to add a little variety in my soviet/communist display but I wont spend a lot of money on it since its not my primary interest!
