New book just published. I have just seen it today in a bookshop but did not yet get a chance to browse through.
NKVD USSR. Structure, Leading Staff, Uniforms, Distinction Badges 1934-1937
V Voronov, A Shishkin
287 pages, 290 x 220 mm

I'll post more details as soon as I had a glance at the book.

I was able to get this book about 3 weeks ago from Russia and it is Outstanding! It is just the first of a few that will be done on NKVD-KGB uniforms and I can't wait for the next one.

So how would a guy get one of these new books? Any of the vendors on the Forum (that you know of) have a copy for sale?

125$ is too much. I bought one for 50$ + shipping. It's still in the mail, but I have only heard good things aobut it.

I don't know where you got it for that price. Here in St Petersburg, they go for $65.
