Visor hat and rain

hi guy's

i was just wondering.
since these caps are made of just cotton and cardbord.
in a mile rain the cap would be soked for weeks.
let alons snow or sutch thing.
and than all the proud of your uniform would be gone:laff

is there any thing the russian's used to cover the cap in sutch weather?:idea
they tended to be good at finding solusions.:thumbsup
here in the netherlands the police and militairy has transparend covers with elastic to put on the top.

kind regards ser-g

i can't understand how the gloriose army of the soviets would cope with a soked hat, it would surely be a crack in the proud.:chuckle
one does not feel very proud with a hanging soked hat.:thumbsdown

and than the umbrella thing ,, nice pink ones to help the proud even more :laff

I know that soviet navy ushanki had rainproof covers, but no such thing for visor caps. But I thing that large m69 caps were quite easy to dry over fire...

covers

There were covers for peaked caps, but on a VERY limited basis it would seem, mostly it seems for ceremonial units; see the thread about the Cavalry 1977 officer, there is a pic of a cover.
