Hello all:

I pulled one of my Military I.D. booklets and did some searching on Podvignaroda site.

I hadn't been on the site for a while and wanted to see what more I could learn about Sokolovsky .

Found his citation for GHlory III.

I like the Za Stalina! and Za Rodinu! entries.

Here is the complete citation.

It is interesting to note that the same time this member of the 5th Guards Airborne Division was being awarded for pushing the Germans back from Odessa westwards, the 414th Division was liberating Sevastopol.
