Issued by the American Fund for French Wounded. Designed by Theodore Spicer Simson and made by Gorham Co. Front shows arms on shield over American eagle. Around side \"Do right and fear no men\". On shield Ad 1916. On wing says copyright and other wing says Spicer Simson. Back of medal has American shield with stars and stripes surrounded by 2 branches. Under the stars says April VI-MDCCCCXVII. Surround says That Government By The People Shall Not Perish. Says TSS under shield as well Gorham Co. Sold to raise money for French Wounded soldiers and civilians during the first world War. Please look at the pictures provided for more details.
