Antique US Marine Corps trench sword wwII era? named theater knife Masonic USMC:
$104.00

Tempered steel blade from an old USMC ceremonial saber, cut down and put together as a very functional short sword. The 'clip' looks steep, but it's sharpened and quite penetrative (I tried it on some plywood). Hollow bass handguard is from some sort of Mason/lodge sword, and is soldered to the sword's tang. A small object, likely a hardened drop of solder, rattles around inside the handguard. Handle is some sort of lead alloy and seems to have been cast directly on to the tang. Pommel must screw on, but is tightly in place. There's a small mark on the pommel indicating that the pommel was made in Germany. The blade is not marked as to national origin, but it is marked "United States Marines" on both sides and with a name on one side "A J Cushman Jr" I think it says. All is tight and solid.
