When the Army adopted Mills woven cartridge belts in 1881, complaints from the field noted that the currently issued holsters and bayonet frogs would not fit on the belt. Mills remedied this with a simple brass wire adapter hook that would hang from the top of belt. This our new reproduction of this hook for holsters. It is 4 inches wide and will fit all holsters in use at the time.
