British Pattern 1845 Infantry Officer Sword Saber W/scabbard - Victorian Antique:

Nice British Pattern 1845 infantry officer sword and scabbard. Sword was retailed by "Hill Bros, Old Bond St, London" as visible on ricasso. Brass proof slug and Star of Damascus on opposite side of ricasso. Likely a Solingen import blade. Shagreen and grip wire 100% intact, and brass hilt has nice warm color. Washer intact. No movement in blade, grip, guard. 32.5" inch blade has uniform patina and correct etching. "Center of percussion" arrow visible on spine. Original scabbard has uniform patina and sword fits perfectly with no slipping. Sword alone weighs 1.625 pounds.
