I inherited this sword from my uncle, his father and grandfather, the sword remains in the original state, long blade 40”aprox,2NDmodel or pattern from the Virginia Manufactory of Arms established by The General Assembly in 1798, It was situated on the west end of Richmond south of the James River Canal. The rounded iron pommel & guard with a sword-knothole distinguish it from 1st model.
