No Scabbard some rust on blade. Some type of wire wrapped around handle. I think this is a Sauerbier Foot Officers sword made into knife but maybe a combination of several makers parts put together. Looks period made but not sure.
These early swords and knives are not perfect, they may have been painted. taken apart, lost handle wrap or wire, cracked or pieces of handle missing, chrome or nickel plated. rusty, pitted, sharpened, may have been in fire, bent, scratched, battle scars, soldered, abused and what ever happened in their 170 years plus years existence.
