Seems like this helmet started life as a navy grey one and got painted green on the outside at some point. The shell is the early fixed bale version with a beautiful khaki and brass chinstrap. The liner is the best liner I’ve ever owned (out of probably 100+). Westinghouse with a Carr chinstrap. Extremely attractive webbing inside and a full coat of green paint outside. Sweatband is intact and in good shape.


I do not believe the net is original. It feels synthetic. This helmet came from a very large collection and was on display for many years. You just don’t find em like this anymore; the good ones have all been hoarded for years!


I really paid up for this helmet, so I can’t let it go cheap, but it is worth every penny.
