This is the predecessor to the later OG-106 or OG-507 fatigue baseball caps. This particular hat is OG-107 cotton sateen like the fatigues of that era but is a baseball style cap. These are hard to find! This example is dated 1962. I believe these were made to meet the demands of southeast asia during the advisor period of the Vietnam war. These were created at the same time as the very first version of the jungle fatigues were made the version that had no side cargo pockets and were modeled after the OG-107 fatigue trousers of that time period but made out of poplin. This example is in great shape with nice clear markings in it.
