from the famous
8th Regt. New York State Militia
\"Washington Greys\"
which includes the following items:
1861 Kepi, Belt Plate, &
Cross-Strap Plate
and the 1886 Mourning Ribbon.
as purchased from
The Horse Soldier, Cashtown, PA. in 2007.
and acquired by
Homer Helter , Naples, FL in 2013.
The Kepi condition is \"fragile\"
as to be expected, with bill coming loose.
Missing is the Braided Cross Device
that once adorned the top.
Both Buckle Plates are in Very Good Original Cond.
as photographed.
Un-polished with names, dates
scratched into the backs.
Each item in this grouping is
extremely rare by itself.
As a grouping, it is truly astounding,
and worthy of any museum collection.
