Rare WWII Restricted Document Army Air Base APO 726 1943-1944:
$30.00

For your consideration is a 3 page military document that looks like it is a list of Air Force soldiers eligible for the good conduct medal. It is titled, \"Restricted. Headquarters Army Air Base. APO 726, c/o Postmaster. Seattle, Wn (typo?). It is dated August 14, 1944.\" It goes on to list those eligible, \"...fulfilled the requirements necessary as stated in AR 600-68 dated 4 May 1943 are authorized to wear the Good Conduct Metal.\" The three pages list the soldiers and where they are stationed. On thelast page, \"By order of Colonel Noyes\" and then signed by Stanley E. Toye, Captain, Air Corps Adjutant.

This is an original 1943-44 document. Since I don\'t have a lot of knowledge of military documents, I can only assume many of these were sent out, not sure how many, and probably not a lot around. However, I will leave that up to the experts to determine.

I will be offering some more of this collection from the Eldon M. Jetts estate. While his name is not on the list, this was in with other items I purchased. His name appears on quite a few things. If I am remembering correctly, he rose to the rank of Captain, and was a lieutenant during this time. I have a collection of WWII era newspapers that I will be listing from his estate too.

Condition: In pretty nice condition to my eyes for 1944 - no tears, or stains just a little expected but light browning. I am not removing the staple - it may have rust on it.

I only took pictures of the first page and the last just to keep some mystery.

First class mail shipping. Payment due within 48 hours of the sale close. .
