Here we offer a rare and truly Beautiful Sword . It is a Danish Naval Officers Sword circa 1850.You can also tell it is Danish from the design of the hilt, very elegant . The hilt is brass originally gold gilt with a lot of gold remaining. The grip scales are Mother of Pearl . The rear guard is folding and in perfect working order. The blade is plain in near perfect polish. The obverse ricasso has the makers name " G.L. SEIFERT / XGL. HOF GULDTRAEKKER / KJOBENHAVN. The scabbard is black rayskin with very ornate gold gilt brass mounts . See the photos. .The overall length is 36 " with a 30 " blade. Again the condition is excellent. A very fine sword.
