On top of the gold star is a smaller five-pointed star made of platinum. At the center of the platinum star is a 2.04-carat diamond. In the rays of the platinum star are twenty-five diamonds weighing 0.91 carats. The overall diameter of the gold star is 42 millimeters (1.7 in) and the weight is 35.1 grams (1.24 oz). It is connected to the moiré ribbon in the same way as the large star. About 370 small marshal stars were made .
