The hardbound file measures 12 by 10 inches and contains 22 leaves - a self assembled scrapbook labeled "Vietnam" on the spine.
Edward J. Cannata (1927-2009) served in Korea, Vietnam and Europe as a SFC in the Army's information office, and left behind numerous scrapbooks filled with similar material detailing his service, but this one is the most personal, as it is the only campaign in which he saw combat (25 aerial missions) and was awarded medals, including The Bronze Star.
The 33 photos are different sizes, and show a variety of subjects, but 19 are directly related to the helicopters in the 1st Brigade and missions they flew.
The list of correspondents killed is inserted in a printed map which also has interesting notes, including "CIA Safe House" and "Joseph - Continental Palace Hotel - Waiter - VC Spy"
A fascinating record of the Us Army's time in Vietnam at the height of the war.
