This beautiful antique Japanese sword was handed down from the father of Karate Master, Grand Master Kenya Kinyada, to his son. This sword was then awarded to Kinyada's protege', Grand Master Solomon Quick, the current owner.

This is a Japanese Naval Officer Katana from World War II. Inscription reads:Koa Isshin Mantetsu Saku No. Showa Kanoe Tatsu Haru (1942)
These swords in particular were manufactured in a Japanese factory from steel that came from the Manchuria region of China. This steel was significantly stronger than the Japanese steel, which would break in cold temperatures. These swords are also, not legal to own in Japan and recently the price is very high world-wide for these beautiful and powerful historic artifacts.
