You are purchasing the exact item shown. See photos for condition. This is a Type 30 Japanese bayonet in relic condition. What\'s weird is that the sheath and handle are definitely relic, but the blade looks pretty nice with bluing still present. The sheath is bent a bit so the bayonet is hard to remove once inserted (so eat your spinach). The lock button is stuck in place.
I could see someone with skill adding a handle, cleaning up the rust, straightening the sheath and doing a nice restoration. Or perhaps you just need a sheath for your bayonet...clean this one up and use it. I\'ve seen sheaths go for more than I\'m asking. Or since the blade is so nice, make a knife or two. The possibilities are endless for the right person, or just use it as a nice WW2 bring-back display.
