Original Flight Record Recording all the flight training on the left side, as well as questions at flight school in case of emergencies. The right side of the folder is the log of all combat missions on the B25 Bomber. Interestingly, after some research it seems he was awarded a Distinguished Flying Cross, and four air medals during WW2 with the 12th Air Force.


12th Air Force

The 12th Air Force was established in the United States in 1942 to serve as the Army Air Forces component of Operation Torch, the invasion of French North Africa. The 12th Air Force initially trained in England, then participated in the invasion of Algeria and French Morocco in November 1942. From February to December 1943, the 12th Air Force served with Northwest African Air Forces, and then with Mediterranean Allied Air Forces. The 12th Air Force continued to operate in the Mediterranean theater until the end of the war.
