"INTERNAL NKVD GUIDE BOOK ON "REGULATIONS FOR UNIFORMS, SHOES AND SPECIAL ACESSORIES FOR WORKERS OF FACTORIES, FARMS AND CONSTUCTION SITES UNDER THE SYSTEM OF USSR NKVD".
Under the banner of Marxism-Leninism, under the leadership of the Communist Party--forward to new victories in the construction of communism!
Very interesting item. I saw it Friday and almost went for it as I am fist and foremost an NKVD uniform collector. I would love to see inside.
However, I expect from the title that it is of little use to me. It appears to cover only work clothes for workers in NKVD construction units - quite likely prisoners. Gievn the term "normy" or norms for uniforms and the fact that this stuff was mostly made by the unit I think it is likely instructions for making work uniforms.
I have seen a photocopied version of the M1943 NKVD uniform regulations. The owner, not a forum member, promised me a copy when I saw it and then renegged - failed sharing in kindergarten I guess.
If anyone knows of it or has a copy please let me know.
I have one photocopied page from that guide, about the M1943 parade cap for generals. I was never able to get a full copy, but would like to. Dou you know the actual name of the guide? I can ask my guys to get it; they are pretty good about it.
