Interestingly he was issued a PPSh smg first but in his new unit he got a rifle of unspecified model.

Didn't think of that variant. Tried AbiDkhodzhayev and AbiTkhodzhayev, but changing "o" to "a" didn't come to my mind.

That one is interesting - he wasn't a medic at that time, but a simple rifleman, and yet, he found time to evacuate two wounded during the battle. Now this group is even more interesting. Pity that the awards are missing.

Since I don't like to hide assistance from other folk I'll "release" the search tip that lead me to find the missing citation (My "researcher" doesn't tell me to hide all the vital information that may help the community help itself).

Name "Said", RMK Tashkent. I didn't think there could be that many Said's from Tashkent.

I think his DOB may well be 1915 rather than 1911 as it is on three of his documents with 1911 just on one.

Didn't think of that. I tried by surname - it was rare enough.
The "o" and "a" may be confused in russian language sometime (especially unstressed "o"), but the name remainds me of turkish "hoca" or albanian "hoxha", that I didn't even think of such an obvious spelling mistake.

Good point. But on the other hand, his OPW2 info says 1911 as well. Also, he had that date in his service booklet - had he noticed the mistake, he would probably report it and had it changed. I would have done it in his place.
