I wonder what does the "Mártir" (Martyr) mean in those documents.
There's nothing in the streets
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Are now parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight

The Who, Won't get fooled again

Each local branch of the CDR is named after a "Martyr".

So for example the 8th CDR of Zone 59 of the Plaza District of Havana is named after Carlos Hernandez.

The CDR is absolutely giant and must have branches all over so they must find it difficult to find "martyrs" for all of them.

This particular Martyr Carlos Hernández Fernández was tortured by the police and shot by a Thompson, finally succumbing to his wounds on 17th December 1957.

Membership ID to Lourdes Vazquez Gregorio, CDR #6 in Santiago. 1985.
Cost 3cuc in old book store, so probably they can be aquired for less than 1cuc.
