The TV series is worth seeing btw (esp. if You find with english subtitles). Not that heavily propaganda-filled and still one of the best (and most popular) TV series made in Poland so far. However, for a Soviet-Bloc-made film, there are some terripble mistakes when it comes to costumes.

Her name was Rosa Egorovna Shanina. "Pogibla" - meaning killed in action on January 28 1945.
