Communist Beauties
Here is Isabel Baltazar Cobaira of Santiago De Cuba, whom Paul McCartney would describe as a "Temporary Secretary" of the rather temporary Cuban Ministry Of Public Works.

The cattle-market auctioneer would describe her as 26 years old, 1 metre 66 centimetres and 150 pounds (still converting to metric in 1961), brown eyes and good teeth!

Here is a "Pioneer Of Albanian Sport" Marija Rranzi early in her sporting career, Rrazni died earlier this year at the age of 87. She was famous in Albania for being a "Champion" for 16 consecutive years. Her events of preference were the 100 Metres Sprint and Basketball.

Marija was the third Albanian female ever to participate in an international sporting event. The first 6 all being at the Balkan Games of 1946.

The very first Albanian female pioneer of international sport was Shpresa Spahiu, whose award (and some info on Marija) can be found here - http://soviet-awards.com/forum/soviet-bl...post291472

Three beauties circa July, 1943, I think. I particularly like the jaunty angle of their caps, and "thanks" Tommy for pointing me in the right direction. . .

If anyone would like to translate the inscription on the reverse I would be most grateful, Cyrillic handwriting, again. . .
