This is a ministry of the interior Medal with the wording on the obverse ''nuestra fuerza es la fuerza del pueblo'' Our force is the force of the town doen't really sound the correct translation, maybe someone could help on that?
I imagine it would be something like our strength is the strength of the people?
19th April 1961, the victory at the Bay of Pigs?
Lot of unanswered questions at the moment on this medal.
Everybody's equal, But some more than others!
"Those who come to us with the sword - will be killed by the sword" - Alexander Nevski
Eddie, you guessed right. A more accurate translation of the motto would be using "People" instead of "town".
In Spanish language, the word "Pueblo" has those two meanings and to know which one is intended will depend upon the context or situation the word is said.
There's nothing in the streets
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Are now parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight The Who, Won't get fooled again
