A boxed 10 years bought in an old books store in Santiago de Cuba.
Medals and "distinctions" had same prices there - regardless common or rare - 25cuc for a medal with box and ribbon, 15 for a medal without them. The prices were probably negociable (I guess he would sell an unboxed medal for ~7cuc), but keeping in mind that 25cuc is a bit less than what ministers earn monthly in Cuba I didn't try to haggle.
Theoretically it is legal to buy the awards and teke tham abroad - apart from the fact that the seller assured me about that :D , there is no law that forbids this. nevertheless, when leaving I put them in the registered luggage surrounded in other stuff, just in case.
