Ebay jokes
Hey was looking out our favorite eB?y Aussie and notice that he is selling an OG2 without document. The photo of the document page with the numbers has a MM on a rectangle suspension listed after the two OG's and what looks like an ORS #8464.

This has started me thinking that many this guy has gotten hold of some of these "fake" OG1, OG2, OG3's that are being sold and is creating his own group, not from original since he is not selling them as groups but from these fakes.

Guess he is up to around over $1,000 so far for everythign he is selling.
the pics are bad but even the the number engaving looks bad on the OGIII and IIRolleyes

Looks like his father has collected a lot of fakes.

Alexei,

After looking at your boh collection, :thumbsup I have just noticed the above sellar has another one with historical significance, a possible new highest recorded s/n 1.591 767 listed with doc, and thought this might fit in there nicely

dying with laughter " NOT "

Hi guys

just to add, if any new collectors read this, go to the above mentioned article on Eb** then make a note of the feedback score of the bidders, then have a look around eb** for russian, soviet, ussr orders, and you will find them. then have a look at there feedback ie who they bought of or sold to and a very nasty pattern will emerge !!!!

BE CAREFUL OUT THERE !!!!!!

Nick :thumbsup
Pacha,

Too right. It can't be said too often. Here's a great (and very recent) site that talks about Coin Fraud - Numismatic Fraud - eBay Fraud. Not medals, but the insight into eBay itself is excellent, and a lot of the principals are the same between coins and medals, IMO.
A guy is selling on E a lot of Soviet medals... here is the description AND the picture... Big Grin

"Soviet medal, 100% original"

Nice picture in deed... Smile

As for the link you posted pity it's not compulsory on all such sales.:thumbsup
