Fake Documented Groups of Orders
#51
Guys,

Speaking about the initial Tretov's scans - I think the awards look OK, but why does the Lenin on the first scan have the same scanning defect as on the more detailed picture? Smells like a scam!

So, you are 100 % positive this screwback Lenin is a fake? What's wrong with rivets? THe look the same to as in McD book.

I could have been that poor guy who payed 510 for it. :) But I also didn't like his feedback, it didn't feel real. And I didn't like the names of his bidders - most of them meant something in Russian.
Decided not to bid. However, I stayed up until 5 am until the auction ended!
I figured out - too good to be true. He won't send anything! But, why would you put an image of a fake order, if you want to sell it as a real one? I am sure he could have found a real one.
What if he will send the order that is actually on the photo? What if? 510 for a high quality copy/fake - too much? What is it is made out of gold - still too much?

Well,

It looks like first victims of this Kazakh seller are starting to complain - he's got his first negative feedback comment. Expect many more upset buyers to post about their bad experience.

Looks like typical scheme to make quick $$$ and disappear.

Teaches you something about so called deals on eBay - if you think that you're getting a bargain - think twice. There's a reason why no one else is bidding...

Here we go - negative feedback starts to come in for this Kazakh seller:

- THIS SELLER IS A CRIMINAL. No items send.
- Seller dissappeared after receiving money. Never received the item.
- Attention everyone! Be aware, this seller is a liar, never received the item

No surprise, what do you expect by buying Nevsky for $127 or Lenin Mondvor Screwback for $510...

I feel sad for the guy. But on the other hand - theoretically, this auction could have been good, the "low" prices could have been explained with the fact that few people may have found the auctions. He did not mention any of the words "soviet" or "russian" in the titles. When I search eBay for soviet items, I usually make search based on "item type looked for" + (origin)

I found those just by coincidence.

Patrick,

Today anything decent gets noticed on eBay right away.

Market is really dry, it's not like old days when search on Russian Order on eBay would yield 20 pages...

Be realistic, miracles like that don't happen anymore.

Search string

order (soviet,russian,ussr,russia,cccp,hungaria*,romania*,czech*) -book -patch -sword

usually generates about 5 pages :D . But you are right, it is not like before.

Guys,

While I feel sad for his customers, I really don't understand how he could've gotten any customers in the first place. I mean, we all know that there is no such thing as a free lunch, so why do people still jump on Nevsky's for $127?! I guess it's beyond me.
