Hello,

here is the newest generation of fakes. I heared that they are made in the Baltic Staates.

Looks like they were casted, but the quality is very good !
Only a few material defect´s on reverse and some "dots" between the sun rays.

best regards
Andreas

Once again, it is the tight or compressed lettering on the obverse where I see the errors almost immediately (the letters vary from thick to thin and are not consistent throughout).

However, in terms of details of the images/symbols, it is a very good copy.:(

Alfred, good catch on the textured background flaw on the reverse. I wonder that since the folks in the Baltics and Ukraine who are pumping out these and numerous other high-quality fakes are doing so probably with the justification of "getting back" at the Soviets or at least trying to profit from them now, does each medal come with a free "spit shine."

Hello, gentlemen

This is another restoration of the southern metallurgy medal that I have found. This time there is also a document. Pictures are not the best, but this is what I have available now. What do you think?

Thanks!
sergio

Sergio, all of the "flat" medals make me nervous because I can't use the standard indicators like enamel color, gold plating, size and shape of pieces like H&S, but having said that, I think this one is OK and I'm pretty confident about the doc, too.

I could be wrong, but I think all of these from this time period at least had the ring as part of the medal itself, which this looks to be the case with the one in the photos.

As always, I would insist on detailed photos of the obverse to look for the tiny details that Andreas pointed out above.

Thank you for the information provided so far. I've really appreciated your comments and suggestion.

Now I am here again to ask about this donbass, on which I have some doubts ... but I have never seen such a medal before!

Again, I count on your opinions. gentlemen. Thank you in advance

ciao
sergio
