Performing combat tasks of bringing mines to the place of work of mining at the front edge of the 143th Rifle Division Comrade Ljahov showed himself fearless and enduring in transferring 4 anti-tank mines in one trip. Comrade Ljahov in 4 hours dragged 200 anti-tank mines a distance of 200 metres. Working under enemy fire Ljahov accounted to pulling mines all the time like a genuine magician, often falling at the moment of fire, finishing fetching mines and became a help installing mines himself. For the rest of the night he had installed 36 anti-infantry mines.

Comrade Ljahov is worthy of award of the Order "Red Star".

Commander Of The Battalion Major Doltsa

27th September 1944
