В годы войны Федор Андреевич Пузанов стал разведчиком 5-й партизанской бригады. Георгиевский кавалер Первой мировой войны и скромный сельский плотник в 30-е годы, он, пользуясь относительной свободой передвижения, разрешенной ему оккупантами как священнику сельского прихода, вел разведывательную работу, снабжал партизан хлебом и одеждой, сообщал данные о передвижениях немцев. Кроме этого, он вел беседы с верующими и, передвигаясь от села к селу, знакомил жителей с положением в стране и на фронтах.

Во время эвакуации немцами населения Псковского района в январе 1944 г. священник Пузанов должен был сопровождать свой приход к месту погрузки в эшелон. Колонну сельчан сопровождали немцы, но, пройдя 15 километров, немцы свернули в сторону, приказав священнику под страхом смерти, довести колонну самому. Когда немцы скрылись, Пузанов предложил сельчанам вернуться домой, что они охотно и сделали. Командир 5-й партизанской бригады К.Д. Карицкий сам прикрепил к груди героя медаль «Партизану Отечественной войны».

During the war years Fedor Andreevich Puzanov became Scout 5-second partisan Brigade. Georgievsky the gentleman of the first world war and humble rural Carpenter in 30 years, he took advantage of the relative freedom of movement allowed him by the occupiers as a rural parish priest, conducted intelligence work, provided the guerrillas with bread and clothing, reported data on the movements of the Germans. In addition, he conducted interviews with believers and, moving from village to village residents, acquainted with the situation in the country and on the fronts.

During the evacuation of the German population of the Pskov region in January 1944 Puzanov priest was to accompany his arrival to the place of loading in the train. The convoy of villagers accompanied the Germans, but after going 15 kilometers, the Germans turned to the side and ordered the priest on pain of death, the convoy itself. When the Germans fled, Puzanov invited villagers to return home, which they willingly did. The commander of the 5th Partisan Brigade KD Karitskaya himself pinned to the chest of the hero medal "Partisan of the Patriotic War".
