GPW Soviet Navy buckle
#11
Yeah, what are the rules for transporting Soviet militaria through the country? I'm real curious.

Through the country, or out? Check General Talk, I think there was an 'exporting' thread...as for the 'rusty junk', I never really had a problem once I explained what it was and why I wanted it...big difference though between a rusty helmet and a Nevsky or a Marshals cap.

Oh I mean out of the country, and I'll check the thread out.
And yeah, I know the feeling, my mom doesnt see the point in "wasting" money on old "commie junk" as she puts it.
But I am out of my house and left to my own hobbies. :D
My girlfriend likes it though, thinks its cool.
And so everything is amazing.

Can somebody pls advise the period of this buckle?

Did Captain Highlinersky wear this?

Thanks:thumbsup

From the best I know, this type of buckle was used for quite a long time. I'd say this one is roughly 1970-1990s... and this was not used by officers.

Another WWII example (or at least listed as such) on E.
